But coaxial cabled systems are not the only solution anymore. Signal distribution by structured (Cat 5 – generic) cable is becoming increasingly more economical and therefore popular. The numbers of advantages gained by installing this second type of system are considerably more than with the older coax systems. Structured cable also enables the operation of PC, Telephony and other mediums over significantly greater distances – with far less signal losses than coax.
